10 AWESOME THINGS ABOUT TONY

What is your be word and why did you choose it?

BE AWESOME. I chose it because I believe everyone is awesome and when we try something we should be proud of our efforts.

What is your major goal for the upcoming season?

This next year is going to be a bit laid back. I hope to go to Mollarica in the spring. I would like to do grandfondo in the summer. I have spent the last 10 years doing a number of races (mountain bike and road) each year and now it is time for a bit of a rest.

What goal did you crush last season?

Last year I rode the Trans Alps with my son. I rode it the year previously with a friend and we wanted to do better than that. I had to ride in the open men’s category because my son was only 26. It was great fun and we did very well.

What is your favourite post race craving?

My favourite post race craving is chocolate milk and potato chips.

What is the most ambitious thing on your life bucket list?

My most ambitious thing on my bucket list is to ensure my wife is happy and we raise our two children (now aged 25 and 27) to be responsible, successful, fun loving, outdoor enjoying adults.

If you were stranded on an island what book would you want with you?

Not sure what book I would like. Probably the Lord of the Rings.

Chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream?

Chocolate ice cream all the way!!!

What is the hardest workout you have ever done?

My hardest workouts are the uphill VO2 max efforts. They just crush me!

If you could have dinner with one person (living or deceased) who would it be?

I would like to have dinner with John F. Kennedy.

How long can you hold your breath for?

65 seconds.
