What is your be word and what does it mean to you?

be happy. When do I feel the most happy? when do I feel my absolute best? It’s when I’m pushing myself, feeling my legs burn, my heart pounding in my ears, my breath lifting me up. When I feel strong I feel happy. When I prove to myself what I’m capable of, when I look inside myself, find my inner strength and refuse to give up. That is my #happyplace #behappy

What is your major goal for the upcoming season?

To show up in Whistler for IM Canada 100% ready to CRUSH the course and earn myself a spot to Kona.

What goal did you crush last season?

The one that stands out in my mind is a 50k trail race at the end of the season. I showed up hungry and smashed my PB, it was one of those races where everything lines up perfectly. I surprised myself.

What is your favourite post race craving?

Chocolate milk!

What is the most ambitious thing on your life bucket list?

At this moment in my life I have this dream I’m chasing to earn myself a spot to race at World Championships in Kona. All while running a business full time, being the best wifey/friend/person I can be:-)

If you were stranded on an island what book would you want with you?

The Bible. I’ve read it twice cover to cover and it still has me thinking.

What is the hardest workout you have ever done?

The time I asked my coach for a treadmill option for a track workout. It’s the closest I’ve ever come to barfing in a session and I think I curled into the fetal position afterwards..

If you could have dinner with one person (living or deceased) who would it be?

My lovely friend Mary Betts. She left this world way to soon and we had so many unfinished conversations.
